My client, aimed to help people manage their finances more effectively by designing a personal finance tracker mobile app. This app is tailored to meet the needs of individuals, enabling them to record and monitor all their expenses.

The finance tracker app provides a seamless user experience, allowing individuals to efficiently record and manage their expenses. It offers intuitive features to track financial activities and gain insights into their spending patterns.
Recent Transactions
Design a dynamic card system on the home page to constantly show the latest transactions. Each card includes transaction details such as date, party involved, account used and method of transaction (cash or visa). Transactions are color-coded – green for income and red for expenses – allowing users to quickly differentiate between income and spending.
Wallet management
Implemented a clear and user-friendly interface to manage multiple accounts and shared finances. Each account is represented by a card displaying the account name, balance, and type (cash or Visa). The design includes a prominent “Add New Account” button at the bottom for easy access, supporting one-handed use. Similar functionality is provided on the savings page, where users can record savings in various forms, such as cash, bank, or gold. Added a quick-switch button between the accounts page and the savings page for seamless navigation.
Navigation bar Design
Addressed the challenge of displaying six navigation buttons in a typically limited bottom navigation bar by designing small, icon-based buttons. Each button expands to reveal the page name and changes color upon selection. This design allows users to easily identify and navigate between pages while maintaining a compact and intuitive navigation bar.
Accounts Creation
Designed a drop-down page that slides up to the middle of the main page for creating new accounts and modifying existing ones. This page includes all necessary input fields and provides easy access for users to manage account details and make changes or deletions efficiently.
Expense and Income History
Created a comprehensive view for tracking financial history by designing dedicated pages for expenses and income. Implemented quick navigation buttons to seamlessly switch between expense and income pages, and a combined view to present a full history in one unified page.
Create Light and Dark Mode
Light and dark modes enhance user comfort by catering to personal preferences and reducing eye strain. Dark mode can save battery life on OLED screens, while light mode improves readability in bright conditions. Offering both options improves accessibility and overall user satisfaction.
The final design of the finance tracker app delivered a user-friendly interface that effectively managed expense tracking and account organization. Users appreciated the intuitive navigation, clear visual distinctions for transactions, and streamlined account management features. The app’s design successfully addressed key user needs, leading to high user satisfaction and positive feedback.
